Paul Wesley Real Estate, a Reston-based brokerage led by former Long & Foster president Larry "Boomer" Foster, plans to open its first Richmond-area office at 14401 Sommerville Court in Midlothian. The company is targeting November 16, 2026 for the opening of the leased space of about 3,000 square feet in Sommerville Office Park.

A familiar name in a new company

Foster launched Paul Wesley Real Estate in April 2026. The name is a nod to his uncle, Long & Foster co-founder Wes Foster, whose full name was Paul Wesley Foster Jr. Foster previously led Long & Foster's general brokerage business, including through the company's 2017 sale to HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate.

The company has more than 100 agents across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, and has expanded into Staunton, Waynesboro and Charlottesville. Foster says its agents produce more than $700 million in annual sales.

Experienced local leadership

Dorsey co-owned Jefferson Properties, which Long & Foster acquired in 2017, before leading the company's Midlothian office. Many of the agents who have joined her so far also come from Long & Foster, including The Morgan Team, led by Al Morgan, and Rick Tetterton, formerly of Long & Foster's Tri-Cities Southpark office. Nancy Steinke, from the same office, is expected to start in November 2026.

Foster says the company will compete in the Richmond market on values, consumer experience, and the technology and support it gives its agents. He says agent count is not the goal: "I want highly professional and productive agents, and I want really good human beings."

What to watch

  • The opening. An opening at Sommerville Court on or near the November 16, 2026 target will show the plan is on schedule.

  • A second Richmond office. Foster plans to eventually open another location north of the river. Richmond BizSense did not report a site or timing.
