Both MBA-area supervisor seats were on the ballot for full four-year terms in 2023, and both drew a third candidate — which changed the arithmetic in both districts.

Schneider unseated a two-term incumbent. Winslow had held the seat since 2015, served as Board vice chair in 2021 and chair in 2022, and had survived 2019 by 398 votes. Schneider also won on a plurality, with the independent candidate taking nearly 13%.

One note on party labels

The Commonwealth's 2023 data files leave the party field blank for all Chesterfield supervisor candidates. The Democrat, Republican and Independent labels above come from news coverage of the campaigns, not from the ballot itself.
