The mural
Pat Paul, of Scott Carpet One, had the idea of using the side of the Scott Carpet One building to create an uplifting art exhibit for the community, in an effort to bring encouragement in a trying time. The completed mural was painted by Paul's showroom manager, Trish Ackerman, and depicts a brilliant sun shining over three iconic Midlothian Village entities — Midlothian Station 5, the Midlothian Apothecary and Midlothian MS. The hope was that the community mural would catch on and spread throughout The Village.
The Chesterfield Observer had published an article on the Community Art Exhibit a few weeks earlier, which the MBA linked for members.
